Signal processing for Cochlear implants

We investigate better speech processing strategies for cochlear implants. Our strategies harness both ears to improve speech and music perception as well as cognition. If you meet the criteria for our study and would like to participate, please contact us.

• Bilateral cochlear implants manufactured by Advanced Bionics of any generation
• Adult 18 years or older
• Onset of hearing loss after age 3 years
• Native speaker of English
• Willingness to use experimental strategy for up to 9 months

You will always have access to both the experimental map as well as all the maps you regularly use.

Compensation: $180 total for 3 visits as well as travel (airfare, taxi, hotel) to Indianapolis from other United States locations.
